Marie Johnson Obituary

Marie Johnson, age 67, of Brockton, MA, passed away on February 18, 2026, at Brockton Hospital after succumbing to illness. Marie was born on February 15, 1959 in Milton, MA to our loving parents, the late Robert E. Johnson and Marilynn T. (Quinn) Johnson, both of Boston’s Hyde Park. She was a member of Brockton High School class of 1977. She worked at several positions over her 27 years of employment at Mupac Corp. in Brockton. She loved adventures, especially to Cape Cod, and Foxwoods, in her Windstar, which she named her “Silver Bullet”. Her favorite pastime was visiting with family and friends. She was always there to help anyone who needed anything, whether it be a ride, a babysitter, a catsitter, someone to collect your mail and watch your home
while you were away, financial assistance, an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on or someone to laugh with, Marie’s generosity was immeasurable.
Marie has been loved by a quite large, yet inseparable family: the late Linda (Johnson) Dutcher of Brockton, Robert Johnson of Florida, the late James (Jess) Johnson formerly of Cape Cod, the late William (Will) Johnson and his wife Wendy Johnson of Brewster, Nancy (Johnson) Macaya and her husband Miguel (Mike) Macaya of Brockton, Mary (Johnson) Coutts and her husband David Coutts of Brockton, and Alice (Johnson) Mackin and her husband William (Bill) Mackin of Brockton, her honorary sister Susan Bosco of Wareham, her Auntie Kathleen (Kay) Quinn of Wareham, and many loved cousins. She will be missed by a multitude of nieces, nephews, and grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
Although there are many, Auntie Ree made sure to have her own special relationship with each and every one of them. From sleepovers, trips to stores, goodies, presents, big hugs, a seat on her lap, slipping a few bucks, to quiet harmless naughtiness to make them laugh. She made sure that they each knew she loved them, they all can take comfort in knowing that she knew how much they loved her as well.
Marie’s love has attracted countless friends over the years. Many who are considered her sisters and brothers by both her and our family. There are the neighborhood “kids”, going back to the early days, our Whitman family, those from school, her Mupac family, her Cape Cod tribe, the clan from the good old days of carefree partying, and even the cashiers from stores that she frequented.

To all of you, you know who you are, we are deeply sorry for the loss of your friend. She will be missed by countless folks who love her and all should know that you were loved by her as much, if not even more.
