Marie Therese Dominique Gedeon, 90, of Norton, MA, passed away on February 13, 2026. Born in St. Louis du Nord, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Emile and Jeanne (Thomas) Dominique. Known affectionately as Man Têtê, she was a devoted loving mother with a big heart, extending her warmth and generosity not only to her family but also to everyone who crossed her path.
She embodied resilience and compassion, and as a partner and talented businesswoman, she played a vital role in building a successful and sustainable family business that thrived for over 55 years. She was a proud woman who embraced life and adored her family wholeheartedly. Her presence was a gift, her laughter a comfort, and her memory a blessing that will forever live in our hearts.
Man Têtê was the beloved wife of the late Jean Wilbert Gedeon for 65 years; loving mother of Irvy, Marlyne, Wilbert Jr, Claudie, Berne, Rudolf, Keller (late), Janny, Shaffner, and Mildrid.
Dear grandmother of Randdy (Dellren), Jeffrey, Marsha (John), Berne Jr. (Krystal), Annie (Todd), Kamil, Allan (Lisa), Berleine, Sheaffeel, Samantha, Abigail, Aydan, Gregor, Sydney, and Israel.
Cherished great-grandmother of Kalyl, Amir, Kamari, Layla, Adrianna, Kennedy, Arianna, Maddox, Michaela, Hollis, Mack, and Colette.
Mother-in-law of Jim, Karen, Jerry, Reine, Nelly, Gregory, and Marjorie.
The family cherishes the legacy that she leaves behind.
Family and friends are welcome to her viewing on Saturday, February 28th from 8-9:30 a.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Her funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton; her burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Pearl St., Brockton. Live streaming of Marie’s funeral Mass will be available.
