Shirley A. Craig Obituary

Shirley A. (D’Agostino) Craig, 86, of Brockton, passed away peacefully after a brief illness. Originally from East Bridgewater where she was raised and graduated from high school, she was a daughter of the late Alice (Herrick) D’Agostino and Charles D’Agostino.

She was devoted to raising her children and caring for her home in Brockton where she remained. Shirley enjoyed traveling with her family which included yearly vacations to Cape Cod. She loved being near the water, especially during big storms. She was an amazing cook, liked watching game shows and her soap operas, playing cards, doing seek and find puzzles, and playing her nightly lottery number.

Shirley was the beloved mother of Charles R. Craig IV (and Inga Olsen) of Gorham, Maine, Kelli A. Cahill (and Michael) of Bridgewater, Jill A. Silva (and Albert) of Brockton, loving Nana of Justin Silva (Hannah Johnson), Alison Silva, Cori Cahill, Brooke Silva, and Ryan Craig, and great-grandmother to Hallie Shaen, the newest family addition; dear sister of Robert D’Agostino of East Bridgewater, Jane D’Agostino of Whitman, and the late Bradford Herrick, Janet Herrick, Gerald D’Agostino, Lois Hylen (D’Agostino), and William D’Agostino; dear aunt of many nieces and nephews; and the former wife of the late Charles R. Craig III.

Shirley’s family will celebrate Mom and Nana every day and a Celebration of Life will be held sometime in the warmer weather. Burial services will be private.
